6. it's just cats being cats..
some cats have 'grooming' anxiety-
the least little thing will send them into 'grooming' mode,
i.e. licking. has little to do with sexuality.
My cats' motto: "When in doubt, groom."

Male cats, like many male dogs, will hump anything,
as the least thing (especially scents)will excite them.
this behavior occurs even in neutered animals for a while.
they don't care if its another cat, a stuffed animal,
a couch pillow, just an item of possible relief.

but as to licking? Let 'em lick.
