26. It's really funny how incremental creeping of fascism doesn't
spark our oh, so, obedient sheep and then one day, bam, too much!!!!

My husband has always dreaded air travel with me because I'm, well, cheeky and I don't suffer fools or foolishness with much gladness. I've considered this whole airport "security" merely a dog and pony show for a long time. When the backscatter xray machines came, I made a stink and tried to find out safety information. I couldn't find sufficient information so I told my husband I would refuse to be scanned. This was at least a year ago. Nobody was making a stink then except for me. Now, everyone is. I have no idea why the lightbulb just went off in everyone's head all at once. That said, I'm grateful. I'm no longer a lone freak, angry about the games the TSA and our government is playing with our fourth amendment rights.

This isn't about color, this isn't about safety, this isn't about dignity. It's about liberty.
