an explanation from the guy who took the video.
The child did not set off the metal detector. Instead, he was pulled aside for a pat down for no reason at all. When he refused to cooperate (has more common sense than most) the father pulled the shirt off - most likely out of pure exasperation and to send a message to the goons.
Anyhow, after the entire horrible incident was over, the guy who took the video attempted to speak with the father and son and was pulled aside by tsa, who then questioned him about the video and what he intended to do with it. They obviously knew they were in deep shit if it ended up on YouTube. Oh, and want a laugh? They told him they were concerned for the kid's privacy!! Government goons who had just given this kid a public groping were now concerned for his fucking privacy.
Anyhow, they sent four or five goons over to the gate area to keep an eye on the guy who took the video before he finally boarded his flight.
