Because pat downs can be done in public, unless a specific request for a private pat down is made. What do you expect the parents going to complain about and to whom? This looks like a new style TSA pat down and children aren't excluded. Why are these people standing around watching? Are you freaking kidding me? They are the passengers waiting for their screenings, WTF do you want them to do?
Why is TSA searching the child? Are you for real? They are allowed to search everyone before allowing people to get on the plane.
