The angry and disenfranchised - and people sympathetic to them - don't want to hear the Obama love. Justified or not, we need to appeal to cynicism as well as reason. That's why partisan Dems seem to hit a brick wall when it comes to swaying independent voters: they're unwilling to acknowledge that they're part of the problem. Independent voters do not see it the same way.

Rally to Restore Sanity will be the most effective GOTV effort targeted at independent voters & pissed off progressives. Watch. Meanwhile, Obama's touring universities to shore up support from a less cynical voting bloc.

It may just be enough to keep both houses.
