We've all seen children throw tantrums. My Dad used to call it "shitting a squeal worm".

Tantrums don't make any sense. They are essentially just an outburst of anger---words or actions which have no real purpose except to convey: "I'M PISSED!"

So, some plan not to vote.

Some plan to vote for fringe third or fourth party candidates who have zero chance of being elected.

And, some of these pissed off and disappointed people will---you betcha!---vote for one of the incompetent screamers proudly urging a swift retreat to the America of 1950.

That's right: those progressives who intend to "punish" the Democrats for disappointing them are, in a very real sense, working in concert with the Teabaggers.

If you must throw a tantrum, work out on the heavy bag or even punch a wall if you must. But, after you do that, grit your teeth, clench your fists or hold your nose and go vote for the only party who shares ANY of your views and the only party that just might truly restore this nation's pride, confidence and sense of purpose.

The REAL alternative? The impeachment of President Obama, repeal of healthcare and a neo-con majority on the SCOTUS that will rubberstamp anything the Tea Party lynch mob demands.

There is no "nobility" in a tantrum and it doesn't "teach a lesson" to anyone.
