but I just don't understand those of you who seem to have this need to attack and ridicule a guy who did something both embarrassing and stupid. Yes, what he said was bigoted and he obviously paid a heavy price over that. But I'd wager that every single person on DU has said something bigoted in their lifetime (whether they realize it or not), but I doubt you'd appreciate being slapped in the face over and over again after you said it. You'd probably just say you're sorry and slink away and hope that's the end of it. And hopefully try not to do it again.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

And just so you understand, I'm not a Sanchez apologist. I personally could not stand to watch the guy for more than twenty seconds.
