Because Dodd was doing all he could to make sure Elizabeth Warren wouldn't become director of the new consumer protection agency.

Dodd wanted to please his corporate banking masters by nixing the excellent Warren, the same banking gangster thieves who are going to finance Dodd's "retirement".

Dodd has proven what a corporate whoring greedy selfish slime of a creature he really is.....

However, now there's no need to ever appoint a "director" (unless it's Elizabeth Warren).

Elizabeth Warren can and will do the job in whatever the title, name or position she is given....Now Dodd, the slimy asshole that he is demanding a director of the agency to be named to oversee Warren.

And it looks like Obama is in no hurry to nominate anyone, besides the best person for the job, Elizabeth Warren!

Unless, Obama knows for certain that Warren will absolutely be the assure confirmed nominee director - If not, than no hurry & no need for a director! Warren can do the job from her appointed position!
