Why DID the people in charge keep incapacitated controlers on the job?
Why were they PROHBITED from calling Fire Dept. to test the air?
Why would Fire Dept. be BARRED from admittance if they showed up?
"why is it big news?" Why would hundreds of passenger jetliners in the air being controlled by incapacitated controllers be news? Jetliners with hundreds of passengers and crew in each plane. Planes flying above New York, a densly populated city.
Maybe you would regard it as "big news" if those incapacitated controllers had made a mistake or two or six, sending jetliners loaded with passengers and crew hurtling down into the city? THEN maybe you would think it would be worth asking why controllers were not allowed to leave the room while being poisoned by deadly carbon monixide fumes?
Are we "safer"?
