I'm just noting the irony of your position. obviously this bothers you because it interrupts your narrative of the reasons it's good to support conservatives - who happen to have a "D" after their names -- and you try to pretend it's somehow different b/c you voted for the right wing libertarian party?!?!?

and then you have the nerve to try to play some sympathy card - that no one can note how ridiculous it is for a former republican and/or libertarian to have anything to say to liberals about voting - because you lost a loved one. -- others here have had family tragedies too. but most don't try to use them as a way to deflect criticism about their lack of insight into the reality of American political life.

that you do speaks volumes.

as I said, you need to go do some outreach among republicans - that's your audience - not those who have known what you seem to have been unable to see for decades... and maybe still cannot see...
