It is beyond my power to do this. It is also beyond my power to punish anyone for their sins, altho I can politically work toward that goal in a system of justice.

But I just do not feel it is right to celebrate anyone's death before their time, even tho I would have probably done anything I could to defeat Hitler, including plot to kill him (as a matter of self defense and to save his victims). I know some put Cheney in the Hitler mode but I am hesitant to do that as a history example, altho I would like to see him tried for war crimes and sentenced to a life sentence.

Those are just the rambling of an old liberal...
