And DESPITE the fact that his victim is pleading for his clemency, he SHOULD face justice.

BUT. There should be an inquiry into the judge that was ready to make a plea deal with him to let him walk with a "time served" sentence.

That was the major reason for Polanski fleeing. Either there was deal or there wasn't.

And if the deal SHOULDN'T have been made, then the details of the case should be made public.

THAT'S why the Swiss authorities let him go. Because the US Attorneys wouldn't hand over the details of the case and the plea bargain.
