a family welcomed us with some nice plants and offers to help with whatever we needed.

Over the years (14 to be exact), this family...and, in recent years, their teen aged children...have been there to help out.

Checking in on us when an ice storm knocked out power for three days...bringing groceries...

When Mr P had knee surgery, doing some grocery shopping...

and many other acts of kindness...without asking a thing in return.

They were the ONLY family who have done this, consistently, for 14 years.



They are...drum roll, please....


Republicans

And they've done all they have even though they know we don't share their political opinions.


Knowing this family as I do, I find your characterization of all Republicans as "mean-spirited, cruel assholes" to be pretty offensive.
