63. Wow. You REALLY don't get even the slightest bit of it, do you?

I'm not shocked at all that Republicans are coming back- as instead of being hammered and blamed for the myriad problems their policies caused- they (and their "lite" supporters) have not only enabled, legitimized and adopted their policies- but managed look WEAK and COMPLICIT in the process!

Instead, they make all sorts of lame excuses- for not standing up and fighting- for not getting it done- or even appearing as if they were ever even committed in the first place (which, sadly the record shows this President and many of the Republicrats weren't from the outset).

Far from shocked- I predicted this (go back and look at mu posts from last year).

You see- unlike you and some others- who believe damn near anything- I know how to read data, grasp a thing or two about political dynamics- and learn from past mistakes.

The best thing the Dems have going for them this year is the fact that, unlike 1994- the crazy is far more overt and in people's faces throughout the corporate media and on the web. That may well be the Dems only saving grace.

On the other hand- the administration's saving grace is probably to lose the house. Gives an excuse for inaction- or downright betrayal (as with the recent "deal" on the Ratings companies). If Dems keep the house- and Republicans nominate a competent candidate, I'll give even odds we're looking at a one term president.
