98. This article had solid stats to back up its assertions, but how many examples did it use?
Two. Count 'em, two. Not even three. And the most prominent one was about a family who supported a daughter who had chosen to study in two very highly competitive areas of endeavor in which she was unlikely to find a high-paying job quickly.

This is almost as bad as those New York Times "trend stories" in which some journalist finds out that three of her friends on the Upper East Side in the past month decided to get tramp-stamp tattoos with the name of the guy they lost their virginity to, so she writes a story on how "It seems that more and more women nowadays are choosing to get tramp-stamp tattoos with the name of the guy they lost their virginity to in them--it's the hottest trend going," and then interviews all three of her friends who did it, and then the whole country reads it and thinks "Wow, what a stupid trend--I can't believe that WOMEN ALL OVER THE COUNTRY are doing THAT, but this article says they are, so it must be so!"
