the british ran the coup in iran and I could list a litany of shithole states like those that oppress their people. I feel sorry for those who have to live there. Iran used to have a progressive culture, now it is a theocratic prison.

Remember "East Germany" looks like those people moved on and improved their lot. Iran is fucked up because of their government, not because of 1953.
