It sounds like he already realizes they cannot be trusted to change their beliefs. Once your child has been abused - physically or psychologically - it would be terrible to put your child back under that person's control. I hope your ex goes in prepared to demand a "sum certain", i.e., a specific dollar amount refund - find out what it will cost to transfer your son's treatment to another orthodontist. The quid pro quo would be that if they refund your money, you will not make a malpractise claim. (And that will not stop you from filing a complaint with the licensing board for dentists in your state.) And don't let them BS you by denying what your son reported as taking place. And I would spread the word among your friends and other parents about this office.

Complain to the state, get your money back, and find a real orthodontist. |
