how "passionate" the response was.

One person's "passionate" is another person's "just plain nasty".

In any case, it does require a thick skin to post...not only here, but just about anywhere. Unless people are all sitting around basically agreeing with each other. In which case, things can get real boring real fast. Then it's not even worth the trouble. Shit, I can sit in my closet and agree with myself all day.
