58. I remember the "park bench" story.....
He was getting ready to give a speech in Washington DC, and someone saw him sitting on a park bench by himself, writing the speech or putting the finishing touches on it.

I believe that was the same day that Eric Massa, who was running for Congress, told some Clarkies that when General Clark came to give the speech, he arrived with a strange befuddled look on his face. He told Eric that a woman had come up to him on the street and told him that she loved him. LOL

I think the General was being forced to come to grips with a new kind of celebrity. :) (This was after the 2004 election)
