127. No you are missing the point
When Japan allows US automakers to freely sell and build cars in their country what you say would be true.

Let me give you an example.

American car buyers can purchase any car he wants.

Japanese car buyers would like to have one of those new Mustangs or Challengers built here but he doesn't get that option.

So that puts an American worker out of work for about a week. Enough of those weeks add up over time.

Why do you think Japan won't let us sell our cars over there? Do you think it is because they are stupid?

No its because they are smart and Americans who don't have a decent job because of it are the stupid ones.

They protect their industry and jobs they have for their fellow citizens. We don't.

Thats why their unemployment rate through one of the worst global recessions of all time is about 5% while ours is about 10%.

Do you see it now?
