Great post, and I agree with allof it, especially item 4.

As Keith Olberman just said, "Where are the left-wing militias?".

I am a strong supporter of the right to keep and bear arms, and believe the reason why our founders wanted an armed citizenry and specifically set up a decentralized military system was so that an overly-powerful federal government would not have the military ability to enforce a tyranny nor engage in military expeditions without the consent and participation of the states as a whole.

The primary reason there are no left-wing militias is because, in my opinion, the left tends to be far more trusting of government and considers it to be far more a benign organization than they should, and than our founders did.
