It's a shame that an issue with such broad support is considered "controversial" just because of how loud and determined those in the minority are. I fully believe that a swift and decisive DADT repeal in Congress would be a boon to Dems in the midterm elections, especially considering the fatigue that much of the electorate is feeling for the Dems over HCR. I know what you're saying, but it still sucks that real lives and livelihoods have to hang in the balance due to beltway politics.
