The US may be declining from empire, which in my opinion is a good thing. However the repubs wont be happy till were in a ditch.

1. The governments purpose is not to make a profit. However, if you are a true believer in trickle down economics you care only about the top 1%, this is despite no evidence to show that those policies work, in fact when there is less of disparity between the wealthy and a middle class our economy has flourished.

2. Small government is not always better, however they are only concerned about small government as it may help those so called lazy people, who are usually a minority, basically a way for them to legislate their inbred prejudice. Also, they have no problem with a huge millitary budget as well as huge police force and more people incarcerated than in any other country, maybe all countries, usually for drug crimes which in my mind is simply using the wrong drugs that dont get advertised during the evening news.

3. They run on the premise that government is bad and then go on to prove it once elected, at least government of by and for corporate personhood.
