I'm sure he is committed to non-violence. The Dept of Peace is a wonderful idea.
I hope he gets something positive included in the bill because of his stance. I'm happy to eat my words if I'm wrong. I'm not a politician -- I just watch from the sidelines.
Having said that, we dems need to do something to campaign on this Fall. Not passing a HC reform bill or other meaningful legislation will be political suicide. So that is where I'm coming from -- the desire to keep our majority for so many reasons. We'll all see how this kabuki plays out.
