40. We moved to The Woods in 2006.
Planted a BIG Veggie Garden. Keep chickens and HoneyBees too.
What we can't make ourselves, we barter or buy 2nd hand or salvage and make it work...
or do without.

We are living well on a very low "Taxable Income".
Very little of OUR money is going to unwinnable WARS or FAILED Wall Street Bankers.
Wall Street and Corporate America can Live or Die without our money or concern.
At this point, so can the "Centrist" Democratic Party.
We are no longer Good American Consumers,
and next year, we will "consume" even less.
Its not for everybody.
My wife and I are lucky enough to have the skills to make this fun.
If they don't care about the American Working Class, fuck em.
:hippie:

What do you mean by "living on the water"?
We "lived on the water" for a while....self-built and salvaged Houseboats on the Mississippi River in Minnesota.
Not in a "Marina", but really "off the grid".
We loved it, but found it difficult to grow food, so opted for very rural land in the South.
