funding?!! People hollering, "Don't raise my taxes!!!" Public education can't survive without it!! Tell ya what, though! I want to see charters get the brightest and the best paying bullshit incentive pay and 35k salaries! They'll get some desparate soul to man the assembly line but they damned sure won't get the "brightest and the best!" And guess who will come out on the LOSING end! Certainly not the "teachers!" Certainly not the corporations investing in the final product (another schmuck working behind the counter at walmart making minimum wages.)

edit to add: Ultimately, this is nowhere near "competitiveness." This is building a MONOPOLY!
