28. No, I'm just saying that the people who choose to work at these jobs are
doing so for more money and they should be treated with the same respect as the librarian. Until we have a truly egalitarian society, there will be this type of venue open to people who will exploit the opportunity. When I worked as a bartender, I got tired of being treated like I was some slut from Hell, by the ideologically righteous. I worked from 60 to 80 hours a week with very few days off and no social life. I paid taxes and I was able to pay my bills and take care of problems like helping out my parents who were retired but falling through the cracks from being on a fixed income. I could not have done that on my office job alone, a job that incidentally I was hired for because I was considered "front office", that means I was young, attractive and not fat. Fat women and middle aged women were not hired for those jobs no matter how well qualified they were.
