I thought attempts by the corporate class and international banks drove the voters in Latin America to move to the left. There are now banks being set up like ALBA designed to be a counterbalance to the IMF as well as numerous politicians elected from various left wing groups who either took over or came close.

So what is to stop the US from doing the same thing? It seems in the US we are becoming more extreme. The right is becoming more apologetic for plutocracy, but the left is becoming more and more angry at plutocracy too.
