10. Why believe in karma? Seems awfully silly to me.

Especially in this case.

Rush is an overweight, drug-addicted smoker who spends most of his time in an agitated state. He has a job where his fat ass and his corpulence sit for long periods of time while he flails at windmills.

There's no need to invoke a fantasy like karma to understand why he ended up in the hospital. The guy's a textbook case of a personal health time bomb. Rush is a biological creature just like the rest of us, and he's not immune from inflicting damage on his biological self through his shitty lifestyle.
