You can easily find those attitudes and plenty of related ones, right here on DU. I heard the same ignorance from THREE different Dem candidate meetups!
As one of the targeted group, I can tell you that it hurts deeply to see the ignorance of "liberals", and the lack of attention to what can be done.
Who here has signed on for the Homeless Initiative?
Who here called and called on behalf of poor folk before the budget was passed?
Who here has used this time between elections to approach poor people, listen, and *really* LISTEN to what their concerns are, and help them become active in campaigns so their voices can be HEARD widely?
As one who has been hurt deeply by the ignorance of liberals, I can tell you that it's time to clean up our own house, rather than putting all the blame on "them awful repukes".
