17. Kudos.
Who determines what a main stream candidate (or FTM a main stream Democrat) is? Simple - a candidate or person you agree with is - to you, mainstream.

Not voting for a Democrat who (in my opinion, the only one that matters to me when I'm at the polling place) has betrayed MY ideas of what the Democratic party should be about, is NOT the same as voting for, or supporting a republican. If I were in a district where a blue dog was the Democratic front runner I would vote against said dino in the primary, but I could not, with a clear conscience give my support to any candidate who supports policies I personally abhor.

MY personal opinion. Not one I force on anyone else. I'm an Eagles fan? Does that mean I have to support Michael Vick? Sorry - but he makes my stomach roll every time I see him in green. The same goes for many democrats these days.
