in the next election?

I wonder if they are shooting themselves in the foot if they go that route.

Poll result (44 votes)
Democrats would definitely be helping themselves. All public would notice are the words HEALTH CARE REFORM PASSED. They will hold or gain seats in Congress (3 votes, 7%)Vote
Democrats could be helping themselves if it is a very strong private based system that reins premiums and worst abuses (3 votes, 7%)Vote
It will be a wash. It will be such a rube goldberg contraption that public won't be able to figure out if it helps or hurts them by next election (1 votes, 2%)Vote
It could hurt them if it looks like they gave up too much to insurance companies. (2 votes, 5%)Vote
It will look like corrupt capitulation to the insurance industry, but GOP is so much worse, Dems won't lose many seats (1 votes, 2%)Vote
It will look like corrupt capitulation to the insurance industry, and Dems will lose seats and maybe even one or both houses of Congress (34 votes, 77%)Vote
