I look at my four-year old and fear the future for him. I'm trying my best to make sure he's got a safe and secure future and a little bit of safety net to fall back on if things get worse, but I really don't feel like I'm doing enough. I worry that he will be caught up in these unending wars in some capacity and I really fear that the opportunities that my parents and grandparents, even myself, had will be non-existent.

I really thought that things would be different than they are today. That the time of corporate domination and suppression of the middle class and poor would be put in check.

So much for "Hope".
