else. We need bases there and a pipeline and bases in the countries north of Afghanistan to control the route to the world's last oil resources. Of course, no one knows for sure if there really is that much oil in the Caspian Sea, but that is the reason we are there.

I just wish they'd tell the truth so that people would nto be making up fairy tales about Al Queda and Osama Bin Laden or falling the stories told by their lying government. Most of the rest of the world knows this, as do the people of Afghanistan who want us out.

If there is a threat to this country, we cannot protect it, can we, if our military is not here to do so. That should have been clear after Hurricane Katrina. It make no sense to send your troops out of the country if you really believed the country was threatened. They do not care about Americans dying these warmongers. They let them die in NO, and they are letting tens of thousands die every year rather than spend all that war money on healthcare. Anyone who believes otherwise, hasn't been paying attention.
