...(T)he stimulus is working despite all the P.R. headaches it has caused...
...for the Republicans, LOL!

...For all the hits they took...(Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, “bitter,” the PUMAs, Bill Ayers, Landstuhl, even Joe the Plumber)...(the Obama campaign was) always working toward the prize (270-plus electoral votes)...If you simply judged the last three months of the 2008 campaign by which campaign "won" the daily news cycle, McCain came out ahead...

Fortunately, we didn't have to judge the election by who "won" the daily news cycles: thanks to the blogosphere providing us with a "public option" of sorts, the MSM couldn't "push" McCain "ahead" the way they could have a few short years ago. If we'd had to depend entirely on the MSM news cycles, a LOT fewer of us would have learned that the Clintons also had ties to Wright and Rezko, that there were plenty of controversial clergypeople in the McCain/Palin camp, and that Joe the Plumber WASN'T a plumber. The blogosphere (despite the attempts of First Read and Politico to muscle in) is the REAL reason why those "hits" didn't stick!
