Prison Reform

First of all, we need to stop locking up people for stupid reasons (non violent offenders) which would drastically lower the prison population. The paragraph below is intended for dealing with violent prisoners, the kind both liberals and conservatives agree should be locked up!!!!..........


Here in free society, we so a fairly good job of existing peacfully among different races, but prison is a far different savage and barbaric place where peace among different races is and always will me impossible. Instead of even attemping it, I say keep the races complety separated by a tall brick/razor wire walls. In my opinion doing so would help protect prisoners and more importantly...PRISON GUARDS!! I believe we should do everything in our power to keep prisoners and prison guards from being victimized and make the occupation of prison guard/security easier and less stressful. This would also be a big step to reduce the chances of incidents happening. I also believe sex offenders and Homosexual and /HIV/Hepatitis infected prisoners should be separated to stop the spread of disease and violence against them. Keeping all these demographics of prisoners separated might be complicated, but i believe its necessary. A lot of people think its good when prisoners get victimized. I disagreee for several reasons.

1. The prisoner might be innocent
2. The prisoner may eventually be released back into society the stress/trauma of being victimized could fuel a tremendous amount of anger that could be directed among innocent civilians after the prisoners release
3. Happier less stressed prisoners makes the Prison Guards job alot easier
4. Prisoners will eventually get what they desserve anyway!!!

I just think we need a who new generation of high tech, innovative prisons that need to be creativly managed to reduce the stress and trauma or both inmates and guards, by trying to eliminate as much violence as possible, make it diffictult or impossible to smuggle in drugs/communication devices and craft knvives/weapons.
