this. we get umpteen posts about how christianists and american fundies are just as bad, etc.

the reality is that you can insult judaism, christianity, hinduism, animism, wicca, and pretty much ANY religion with impunity in this country, EXCEPT islam.

probably the only religion that comes close is scientology who likes to SUE SUE SUE.

piss christ got... PROTESTS. people actually WROTE DOWN STUFF and said they were ANGRY about it.

oh noes.

can you imagine what would happen if an artist dunked a koran in urine and displayed it at a major metropolitan art museum?

the mind boggles.
