| 31. c# implementation is far superior. |

It is part of the language spec.
Exception handling was "bolted on top" of C++ and it shows.
Not all compilers support it, and they support it to varying degrees". Inheritance of exceptions is tricky at best. Also you have no real assurance when using different compilers that they will do what you think they will do in complies situations. Of course that doesn't even address the human failing rate of C++ pointers. Virtually all memory leaks are a result of human failing.
Managed code is the future both from security standpoint, but also from a stability and resource management standpoint. Exception handling is part of C# language spec and is an ECMA standard.
Lastly having C# application running as managed code on top of runtime provides additional levels of security. Automated exception handling tools are becoming common. Our company uses them. Since even the app crashing doesn't crash the runtime the runtime can pass exceptions to tool which passes it back to developer so we can see in near realtime where exceptions are occurring, what code, and develop fixes faster.
Managed code is a major improvement to software development.
