Subject: Virginia Needs Our Help - Join me in Phone Banking!

My name is Meghan Trim and I’m the deputy coordinator of the out-of-state volunteer program for the Virginia Democratic Coordinated Campaign.

This Thursday, October 22nd, 2009, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EST) activists throughout the country will be utilizing our Virtual Phone Bank system to call in to Virginia and help elect Creigh Deeds Virginia’s next Governor!

The race is close - and our opponent for Governor (Bob McDonnell) wrote a thesis at the age of 34 "in which he described working women and feminists as "detrimental" to the family. He said government policy should favor married couples over "cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators." He described as "illogical" a 1972 Supreme Court decision legalizing the use of contraception by unmarried couples. "- Washington Post 8/30/09.
