I love to cook but shied away from baking because my first few attempts sucked but I love the way the house smells when bread is baking so I sucked it up and started learning about how to make it properly. Exact measurements are really important. Important enough that serious bakers weigh in the ingredients, they don't "measure" them. Also, like most everything else, you get better with practice.
