You know, just because we're more socially democratic in Europe doesn't mean we only sell organic cigarettes or something, they're just as engineered as they are here if not more so. And get this: the main cigarette company in France is a state-owned monopoly. That's right, the French government grows, develops and markets a product that kills its citizens. On this particular issue, American self-flagellation is misplaced.
