The Weld County Sheriff's Office is in the process of seizing horses belonging to a south Weld County man who threatened to kill them over a dispute with the county.
Trenton Parker, 64, has threatened to kill 24 horses. He was back on the rural Weld County property last week, apparently telling some that he still intended on his Saturday mass killing of the horses.
Parker is due to start serving a 90-day jail sentence on Sept. 7, stemming from a civil matter in which he failed to comply with Weld County code enforcement to remove a trailer from a Fort Lupton property on Weld County roads 8 and 35.
