Bachmann's (Health Care Proposal): "What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists"

QUOTE OF THE DAY.... Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) spoke at an event in Colorado yesterday on her opposition to health care reform. She used the kind of dignified, restrained language we've come to expect from this distinguished lawmaker.

***"This cannot pass. What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists, be blood brothers on this thing. This will not pass. We will do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn't pass."

After talking up the slitting conservatives' wrists, Bachmann said reform has the capacity to "destroy this country forever," because reform proposals are "nothing more than slavery."

She added, "Something is way crazy out there."

So true, so true.
