95. It's also time to look at what we've LOST as privatization, unregulated capitalism, corporatism --

have crossed the threshold in America to deliver fascism . . .

Our roads/highways bearing new signs of ownership as they are being sold off --
lack of maintenance of our infrastructure, states in insolvency --

At the end of WWII when most Americans were yearning for peace and to spread peace
throughout the world, others had other plans. Even as the war was ending there were
those who were trying to move our troops out to Vietnam.

Rather than rebuilding existing housing, new wealth was created by destruction of open
spaces - creating American ghettos in areas of older housing.

WWII and blowback from American propaganda created a new push at the end of the war for
human rights -- civil rights -- quickly contained by the McCarthy Era -- "fear of reds
under beds."

As the nation was correctly moved to end Segregation, Inc. and introduced The Voting Rights
Act, computers were being introduced which now gave our "press" not only the ability to
report vote totals, but to PREDICT vote totals and to CALL elections for candidates and
to CALL states/Electoral votes. Two journalists at that time investigated the fraud of
computer voting, but Americans wouldn't wake up to it until after 2000!

As we reflect upon the "Southern Strategy" predicted by LBJ and carried forth by Nixon, might
we consider whether it had more to do with computers than with racism? Who really profited
when Southern towns were filled with hatred, violence and turmoil - when public education was
shut down and replaced with private schools?

Who profited when all public schools were insufficiently financed and minority children brought
into the poorest communities to segregate their schools? Oftimes, CIA monies were hidden in
public school budgets further undermining our investment in public schools and harming towns/
communities.

The Cultural Revolution -- often referred to as the "sexual" revolution to hide the truth
of its complete and total attack on our culture and patriarchal authority suffered a new
backlash as patriarchy sponsored "Christian" values and used religious fanatics in their
own interests to co-opt social change -- while corporations bought government and our
candidates/elected officials.

We have lost all substance of a free press now dominated by 5 major corporations.

We have lost the arts and humanities -- once easily in reach of the public.

We have lost the peace -- with out culture now permeated by violence. Our police enforcement
more often directed against the public than serving it. Entertainment -- movies/TV filled
with violence, torture - widespread stupidities.

Our communities are dominated by bank buildings and medical services as our illnesses grow
and our personal assets dwindle.

Cameras placed in open areas speak clearly to a loss of freedom, willingly surrendered for a
hope of feeling secure!

Most Americans are working longer hours now with stagnant wages -- my kids frequently work
on Saturdays to "catch up" . . . in this downward spiral of employment.

MIC has delivered a system where 45,000 private corporations and as many mercenaries are
involved in Iraq as our own troops -- but they were supposedly unable to protect us from
19 terrorists which the entire world was warning us about for months before.

Rather than security, as America surrenders its values to "torture" and illegal wars, we have
seen nothing but more corruption and crime by capitalism.

Rather than enriching our lives we are throwing our lives away to materialism and fear-based
remedies -- in many ways we have begun to live the GOP's dream of "third world America."
