American universities are training shit engineers. My dad works in rail transit planning, has for 30 years, and he's seen the result of US universities engineering programs. Most of them are diploma mills in traffic engineering, not training people for what his field needs at all, so that they NEED to hire from outside of the country to get people who actually know what the fuck they are doing. My dad has worked all over the world, so he's seen the caliber of engineers from all corners of the globe first hand.
