The notion that anyone who says "I have black friends" must be a racist (assuming they're white) strikes me as absurd. I would think most racists would avoid claiming they have black friends (again, assuming they're white) because racists don't like people of other races, that's kind of the whole point.

So bringing up evidence that you can get along with members of other races should not be used as proof that in fact you cannot get along with members of other races.
