Seven years ago, I had a 34 inch waist. I've been thin my whole life. I had a 32 inch waist up until I was in my mid-30s.

I was shocked at how much weight I had put on, so I started NutriSystem last week. Lost 5 pounds for week one. It takes a bit of getting used to, as I was wanting more food last week, but I am now finding that I'm not hungry at all any more, and even the smaller portions seem filling.

I hope to get back down to the weight I was when I last felt thin, which should take a couple of months.

It does seem like there are more heavy people these days, and I often wonder if they realize what they're doing to their hearts by carrying around so much extra weight. With just 5 pounds, I feel a little bit better, but that could be my imagination I suppose.
