4. When I was active duty military and stationed overseas,
I would come home on leave,plop down in front of the tv and dare anyone to interrupt Walter. Of everything I missed in the states, Walter was #1 after my family.

One of my nieces is nicknamed "Walter" because she always knows all the news, and she's never gets the story wrong, either! :rofl:

Journalism hasn't been the same since Walter retired. These news "readers" would do well to go back and study Cronkite if they're really serious about their chosen profession.
