Reply #31: I'm not try to "align" people against Obama... Just align people on taking stances on issues...

I'm still HOPING that Obama will be our champion on helping reduce the executive power grabs that Bushco created and give us more transparency, but just like many on the left had to challenge FDR to ultimately do the things he did that helped us so much with the New Deal, we need to critique his stances where they need criticizing. And I don't feel like I should have to explain each time I make such a post that I'm not railing against Obama in general but against some of his policies. And the more policies he has that are of concern for us, it makes it harder for us to qualify our posts that way too.

Now if those that are "pro-Obama" would equally explain that they still have problems with Obama on some of these issues that they share our concerns about before putting out pro-Obama posts on many other issues, then perhaps we'd have a level playing field.

But as long as we're focusing on issues and not on just trying to tear him down or build him up in basically "cheerleading threads", then I feel we should be allowed to just focus on these issues and not have to explain our "stances" each time on whether we support Obama or not.
