33. Why not just invite them to filibuster, have some fun with these pricks, make it a "media event?"
How about supplying sleeping bags and urns of hot coffee? How about supplying the freelance video crews to record it all for posterity -- and for the current news cycle as well? Maybe a priority FedEx delivery of adult-sized diapers for Vitter and some tap dancing shoes for the honorable gentleman from Idaho?

How about treating these loons with the precise level of respect they've so richly earned? How about putting the whole country on notice that they've been taking their marching orders from these laughable clods and mental defectives for three whole decades, ever since the coronation of King Raygun I made madness fashionable?

The unbearable lightness of uncle Harry Reid
Instead, the script is written by the stupidest group of political consultant hacks ever assembled and delivered by this serious, worried-looking, easily dismissed little man called Harry Reid. The majority leader of the most exclusive club in the world is a nondescript little guy with a shriveled soul and a dangerously compressed sphincter.

The kind of guy you'd take absolute delight in ignoring, then pissing him off just to watch his face get red and splotchy as the impotent steam shoots from his ears.

A non-entity who acts just like his eponymous homophone and bends in whatever direction the wind from his corporate sugar daddies happens to be blowing. Funny how it's never, ever blowing in the same direction as the peasantry's best interests.

So instead of telling them to go fuck themselves twice in the most painful ways possible, then leaving for the night, piles of sleeping bags, gleaming coffee urns and ripped up FedEx boxes plainly visible in the background, letting these assholes rant and rave with only each other and a lone C-Span camera for company...

Instead of locking the door behind him, the better to promote serious, sober republicon thought processes, this little twit now claims that 60 isn't really 60 after all.

Forget that this serial liar conveniently ignores the FACT that 60 votes are required to end a filibuster, not to pass a bill. A simple majority passes a bill in the senate. Maybe they're so used to ratifying stolen elections and living with the results that they've lost the ability to count to 51.

But all that's irrelevant -- or would be if democrats had the slightest idea how to market their programs while messing with the wingnut opposition. The worst thing you can do to a pompous asshole is call him out and laugh at him. So who gives a damn about 60 votes when those diapers and tap shoes come tumbling out of the shipping boxes?

What the hell is it with these invertebrate self-proclaimed victims? Why is it so difficult to at least pretend to be an opposition party with an overwhelming majority in both houses?

Seeking bipartisanship with madmen makes democrats just as crazy as the GOP
Who in hell wants bipartisanship when that very word implies some ideological validity on both sides of an issue? There's nothing remotely valid about any position the GOP takes these days.

It's the party of greedy sociopaths, war profiteers and mass murderers. It stands for endless wars, fossil fuels and planetary extinction. It believes pure fascism is the only useful governmental organizing principle. It believes in fairy tales and abhors facts.

Bipartisanship grants these madmen equal standing with their somewhat saner -- though unprincipled and largely incompetent -- democratic side of the aisle. This is a message only those who want a clean GOP sweep in 2012 could possibly love.

That's right where they're heading. I don't know... Maybe they really can't handle leadership. Maybe they need to just disband and go the way of the Whigs, the Know Nothings, the Free Soil Party and, if there is a gawd, the filthy slops-drenched accursed GOP.
